First Rain Shield
A shield design of fair prominence in our region. It depicts the early spring's signal of the first rain of the year by hundreds of Tree Swallows gorging on the newly hatched flies swarming over the river. The first rain itself is depicted by the raven (dark clouds) who delivers this spring-time gift of life.
